With a total budget of P2,000 per head, we were able to stay in an affordable accommodation at the Beach Placid for 1 day and 1 night. Just after checking in at the resort, we immediately hopped at Virgin Island on the 1st day where we did the improvised snorkeling. I’d say improvised because we were half diving and half swimming the entire time we were at the middle of the sea. And while we were wading through the waters trying to stay afloat, the bankero would just throw us the snorkel and that’s basically it. I wouldn’t really call it safe and would definitely not recommend this to teenagers, so at least a lifeguard should be serviced to ensure everybody’s safety if you are to do this.
To complete the island experience is a luscious seafood served hot! I just couldn’t get enough of the yummy Saang, the biggest shell I have seen so far, the crabs aplenty, shrimps, etc. You name it, they have it. Of course, who would want to forget the grilled pork and kinilaw.
