It’s Christmas..

It was two weeks ago when my sister tagged me with this photo of my mother decorating our Christmas tree. Seeing this picture made me realize that time indeed passed by so fast I have barely noticed it’s already Christmas Day.

Staying far from the place where I used to live with my loved ones and friends makes me even more nostalgic among other things; notwithstanding, the food and beverages and the quality time I spend with the pack. What could be more heavy-hearted scenario than sleeping this loneliness on the very eve of Christmas? Bizarre? Well not exactly. It does happen especially if you’re in a place like mine. Not so many people celebrate this on Yuletide season, that is.

I so miss home that I would readily storm off my room and pack up my things had someone vouched for my expenses back home. But not all good things happen, they say. We knew this could happen but reality strikes the hardest when you’re confronted with the situation.

But Christmas should be merry and shouldn’t be spent mourning over something impossible at the moment. Speaking of which, I could never be relieved and happier to have met wonderful Filipinos in the vicinity.

We spent this year’s Noche Buena with my AOTS pals in our new Filipino friends’ humble dwelling. I did have fun. And our tummies too. 😀
